Tyson Alualu calls Honolulu, Hawaii his home and he graduated from St. Louis High School in Hawaii--one of several players from the state.
In high school, Tyson Alualu was considered to be the number 2 player in Hawaii by Rivals.
Tyson Alualu got his start at California in 2006 and saw action in all 13 games as a true freshman. He ended the season with 16 tackles.
In 2007, Alualu started all 13 games at defensive end and had 52 tackles, including 3.5 for a loss. He earned several honors for his performance.
In 2008, Tyson Alualu made a career-high 62 tackles. This was the most by a Cal bears football lineman since way back in 1995. As a result, Tyson Alualu was named second-team All-Pac-10. He is on track to become one of the California Bears' strongest players at defensive line in recent history
