At Governor Thomas Johnson HS in Frederick, Maryland, Forbes earned a spot in numerous bowl games, was ranked as the nation’s No. 2 inside linebacker and earned All-State honors as a senior, among many other achievements. After a consistently successful and continuously improving high school football career, Nick Forbes was a hot commodity for recruiters nationwide.

In his first season with the Cal Golden Bear’s football team, Nick Forbes saw action in two games and was named Cal’s Freshman Lifter of the Year. Forbes was also ranked the No. 4 Newcomer by Phil Steele.
