Nate Longshore is not alone in the Longshore family for loving and playing football. His older brother, Nick, played on the offensive line at Brigham Young University. Younger brother Ben brought Canyon High School to a state victory in 2006 and now plays for Utah State. Nate's grandfather played football at Tulane.
Nate Longshore was born on June 30, 1986 and hails from Canyon Country, California. He graduated from Canyon High School and was ranked the number 8 "pro style" quarterback in the nation by Rivals.
After redshirting his first year in 2004, Nate Longshore played one game in 2005. He made 8 out of 11 passes for 131 yards with a touchdown during that game and was then injured in the second quarter.
In 2006, Nate Longshore saw much more play time. He was only the second Golden Bear quarterback in history to throw for 3,000 yards in a season and earned many honors.
Nate Longshore was strong again in 2007. In spite of injury, which eventually sidelined him, Nate Longshore still threw for over 2,500 yards and 16 touchdowns.
