Jerome Meadows is on of the few Cal Bears football players who isn't from California, and one of the the fewer outside of the Mid-west. Jerome Meadows, in fact, is from far across the U.S.--he grew up in Spartanburg, South Carolina and attended high school at Broome. During Broome High School's 2004 season, Jerome Meadows helped lead the team to a state victory.

After high school, Jerome Meadows briefly attended Wingate University before packing up his bags and heading for the west coast. He settled into life in California by attending San Jose Community College and playing football. During his first season in 2008 with the San Jose team, Jerome Meadows completed 105 tackles, 15.5 sacks and 3 interceptions.

The Cal Bears football squad is ready to bring on this East-coast player and see how he can contribute to the team. Jerome Meadows' time at San Jose should serve him well as he enters the 2009 season with the Cal Bears.
