Jed Barnett is ready to jump into the 2011 Pac-12 football season with both feet. After redshirting as a freshman in order to build up his abilities to the college level, Barnett is excited to show his fellow teammates that he has what it takes to call himself a Golden Bear football player.

At Mountain View HS, Jed Barnett was an All-State punter as a senior in 2009. That season, Barnett averaged over 50 yards per punt. Barnett also earned all-Region and first-team All-3A Greater St. Helens League in each of his final two years at Mountain View HS, among numerous other achievements. After posting the nation’s longest punt of the season (63 yards) to win the Ray Guy Longest Punt in the Nation honors, recruiters were itching to snatch him up.
