Darian Hagan was born November 5, 1988 and exploded onto the high school football scene at Crenshaw High School in Los Angeles, California. By the time he graduated in 2006, Darian Hagan was widely known as one of the top top defensive back prospects in the U.S. Even during his junior season, Darian Hagan led the state with 13 interceptions. By the time he graduated, he had a state-record 25 interceptions under his belt.

After red-shirting in 2006, Darian Hagan played 5 games in 2007 but failed to record any statistics with the Cal Bears football team.
