Bryant Nnabuife was born on December 29, 1987 and grew up in Brenham, Texas. As a member of the Elkins High School football team, Bryant Nnabuife was a versatile player who practiced at receiver, safety, and corner by turns.

Bryant Nnabuife went on to Blinn Community College for a year after high school. In that short stint, he had 38 tackles, 1 sack and 2 interceptions.

By 2008, Bryant Nnabuife was officially a Cal Bears football team members. He participated primarily on special teams and had a few plays. The highlights of his season occurred on two separate occasions when he returned 2 blocked punts for touchdowns.
