Bob Gregory, English major and specialist in educational policy, continues his Cal Bears defensive coordinator position for the 8th year.

Coach Bob Gregory grew up in Spokane, Washington and stayed close to home to play college football at Washington State. He spent his 4 years on the team in the positions of both defensive back and linebacker. After graduating in 1987, Gregory coached for 2 years before heading to Oregon as a graduate assistant.

From 1991-1997, Bob Gregory was at Willamette, working with the defensive line. Following Willamette, he headed to Oregon from 1998-2000, spent a quick year in 2001 with Boise, and finally settled with the Cal Bears in 2002.

Like his fellow Cal Bears football team coordinator, Andy Ludwig, Bob Gregory was 10 bowl trips under his belt. Even more importantly, all of Bob Gregory's teams have never had a losing record. This serves as a testament to his coaching skills.
