Avery Walls is a recently recruited defensive back for the UC Berkeley Golden Bears football team. Walls enrolled in the spring of 2011 in order to get an early start with the Cal Bears during spring training.

At Eagle’s Landing Christian High School in Georgia, Avery Walls was listed as the No. 6 safety in the nation by ESPN and the No. 8 safety in the nation by Rivals.com. Walls also received four-plus stars from Tom Lemming and earned a spot in the prestigious Army All-American Bowl after his senior season of high school, among many other awards and achievements. On February 2, 2011, Walls was given the privilege to play against 45 of the world’s best players outside the United States on the US Under-19 National Team.
